Poet in Residence: Tom Chivers
Writer, editor and promoter Tom Chivers was Bishopsgate Institute's first ever
Poet in Residence.
During April 2008 Tom spent time in the archives of Bishopsgate Library, where he dug up hidden stories and investigated the Institute's history and relevance to the East End. Tom also explored the nooks and crannies of our 19th century building, and spoke to staff and visitors to find out what the Institute means to them.
