Exploring London’s Art Galleries (AC110105)
Develop your knowledge of art history and appreciation in front of the paintings. In this course you will explore the collections of London’s three main galleries, the National Gallery, Tate and Tate Modern. Each week you will discuss the collections and develop your skills in recognising the styles and techniques used in different periods and by a range of individual painters including Rembrandt, Dalí, Turner and Rothko.
The first class will meet at Bishopsgate Institute. Subsequent classes will meet at the galleries.
