Sketch in the City (AC110108)

Looking for a fun, relaxing and creative course that will take you to some of the cultural highlights of London while giving you new skills?

Each week this sketching course will take you to a different art gallery, museum or architectural venue in London where you will use a variety of materials to respond to the art works and artefacts you view. You will look at historical and contemporary works and explore how these can be reflected in our artistic interpretations.

As well as improving your creative thinking, co-ordination and observational skills, this course will enable you to develop an appreciation of art and architecture in London.

You will need to bring the following materials with you:

  • 1 x 2B Pencil
  • 1 x 6B Pencil
  • Putty Rubber
  • A3 Paper sketch book — 130gm
  • 1 x black drawing pen (size 05)
Additional materials will be provided by the tutor and are included in the course price.

The weekday course takes place on a mixture of Wednesdays and Thursdays to take advantage of the opening hours of the various places visited.
