Bishopsgate Library Tour: London Collections

Bishopsgate Library has collected material documenting and describing life, work and politics in London since opening. Including books, pamphlets, manuscripts, maps, paintings, illustrations, photographs, oral history interviews and newspaper cuttings, the collection now contains over 45,000 items about London from the 18th to the 21st century. Join this special tour to learn about the development of modern London in the library’s fascinating London Collections.
The Library tour will be led by Stefan Dickers, Library and Archives Manager and Elizabeth Pinel, Schools and Community Learning Manager. Elizabeth and Stefan have both worked at Bishopsgate Institute for over two years and have considerable experience of the Library’s history and collections. Previously both have worked in a variety of library and archive services in the London area.
