Alex Rueda is a published portraiture and lifestyle Photographer located in San Francisco, California of Puerto Rican descent. In 2016, Alex Rueda became a Dominatrix in the Bay Area. Through that experience, they began to branch out into local fetish scenes in San Francisco. This includes documentation of Folsom Street Fair (the world’s largest leather event) and Up Your Alley since 2017, as well as sex workers and performers within the LGBTQ+ circles. Alex Rueda has been featured in local and international publications such as Bold Italic, No Thoughts Magazine, Gothesque Magazine, and more.

Scope and Content

Archive of photographer Alex Rueda, including: forty-three black and white and colour photographs of the San Francisco Folsom Street Fair, including attendees and activities, the Up Your Alley Fair, and studio and session portraits of sex workers and performers within the LGBTQ+ circles (2017-2020).
