Founded in 1977 by Bette (born Peter) Bourne, and based in Notting Hill, Bloolips was a gay cabaret and drag acting troupe who performed in the UK and internationally over the next 25 years. Most of the shows were written by playwright Jon Taylor with titles such as Lust in Space, Sticky Buns and The Ugly Duckling. The troupe won an Obie Award (Off Broadway Theater Award) for the New York production of Lust in Space.

Images, flyers, posters, press reviews of various shows created and performed by the Bloolips gay cabaret troupe of drag artistes.Includes material for the shows The Ugly Duckling, Cheek, Vamp and Camp, Lust in Space, Yum Yum, Odds and Sods, Sticky Buns, Living Leg-Ends, Slung Back and Strapless, Teenage Trash, Gland Motel, Get Hur, and The Island of Lost Shoes.Shows were performed internationally: in the UK at Hampstead Town Hall, The Tabernacle, The Drill Hall, Oval House Theatre, Hackney Empire; internationally at Melkweg – Amsterdam, Paard van Troje - The Hague, Drehleier - Berlin, Theater for the New City – New York, Orpheum Theater – New York [1978-2017].
