Administrative/Biographical history:
European Network of Women (ENOW) was a non-governmental organisation with branches throughout Europe. Members of ENOW were individuals and mainly women whose main activities centered on human rights and equality between the sexes. ENOW focused on individual empowerment, activation and economical evolution- with a special concern on socially excluded women.
Scope and content:
Papers of European Network of Women (ENOW), including the following: correspondence; campaign and project papers of ENOW and associated groups; papers regarding the directive on parental leave; fundraising papers; papers regarding the Ministry for Women's Rights; administration papers; papers regarding the European Women's Lobby; and other papers associated with women's rights movements and campaigns, (1984-1996).
