Feminist Library Collections
About this Archive
Administrative/Biographical history:
The Feminist Library was started by a radical women’s collective in 1975 and is still active today. Initially known as the Women’s Research and Resources Centre, it actively collected material on the Women’s Liberation Movement. This included published journals, pamphlets and books, as well as original archives of individuals and organisations. In 2009, after thirty five years of maintaining their pamphlet collection, the Feminist Library donated this small part of their vast holdings to Bishopsgate Library. Since then, the Library has supported the Feminist Library to continue their exceptional work documenting feminist movements in the UK and around the world.
