Established in 1982 as the Gay London Police Monitoring Group, GALOP is a UK-wide anti-violence and anti-abuse charity, which offers advice and support to people who have experienced biphobia, homophobia, transphobia, sexual violence or domestic abuse. The organisation also aims to support LGBTQ+ people who have had problems with the police or have questions about the criminal justice system. It is an independent community-led group.
