Magdalena Piech is a Polish-American artist based in Berlin. Her work weds graphite and paper to summon the themes that drive her — the vulnerabilities of the physical form, the ideas of guilt and shame, and the erotic miseries that lie at the core of human existence.

Using herself as a model, she directly puts herself in the hands of riggers, fetishists, and photographers to create strong and authentic references. Bodily autonomy is central to her beliefs – however submissive or degrading, it is her choice how she uses her body.
