Natasha Gornik was born in 1976 in Chicago, IL. She received her B.A. from Columbia College Chicago in 2005 and has furthered her education through Continuing Studies at International Center of Photography and School of the Visual Arts. Natasha has spent the past two decades photographing, filming and writing about sexual subcultures that she is a part of, or deeply identifies with. Her interest lies heavily in the exploration of intimacy and connection between subjects and the experiences that are born from it.
She has had solo shows at C&H Art Space, Amsterdam; Leslie-Lohman Project Space, New York; and Gallerie Des Anges De La Mode, Paris. Her work has been shown in a number of group exhibitions, including at The Leslie-Lohman Museum, New York; MoMA PS1, New York; Performance Space, New York; Atelier Relief, Brussels; Krause Gallery, New York. Her photography has also been featured in publications such as Queer Holdings, A Survey of the Leslie-Lohman Museum Collection; Adult Magazine Issue 2, Soft War; and History and Arts the Dominatrix, Anne O Nomis. Scope and Content
This archive documents a kink collaboration and relationship which began with a chance photo shoot in Manhattan and has continued ever since. A first series of prints represents a small selection of images from sessions in both London and New York up until 2018. Further donations are in preparation.
