Administrative/Biographical History:

After a Degree in Philosophy at the University of Padova (IT) and fourteen years as CSR Manager Executive for Banca Etica, an Italian cooperative ethical bank, they quit their job to pursue their passion for Still and Moving Image. They first attended a course in Fine Art Photography and Video Art at Fondazione Modena Arti Visive (2014-2016) and then moved to London in 2016 where they graduated in MA Photography at Central Saint Martins - UAL (2017-2019). They now work as a photographer, filmmaker and multidisciplinary artist.

Orlando's artistic practice encompasses Photography, Video Art, Installation, and Live Art. Informed by their identity as a non-binary trans-masc person, their work explores autobiographical themes of gender transitioning and other people’s relation to gender identity. Orlando’s practice specifically investigates how gender non-conforming people are opening up spaces for cultural change.

Myxx is also committed to preserving the memory of events run by and for marginalized communities, specifically queer and sex workers. Since 2017 Orlando has been widely documenting many underground and grassroots events with photos and videos. Their collection focuses on cabaret, drag performances, live art, club nights and Pride events. It includes extensive documentation of Deep Trash - Club Night cum Art (2016 - 2019), Bar Wotever - Queer cabaret (2017 - 2024), Kings of Clubs - Drag King cabaret (2017 - 2024), CRAMPS! - Queer cabaret (2019 - 2020), Sexquisite - Sex workers cabaret (2021 - 2024).
