London has a vibrant history of challenges to the status quo, and of protest and revolt in the workplace, in local communities and at its centres of power.

This course will highlight the life stories and contributions of more than 20 radical thinkers, writers and activists in London from 1750–1950, who led, inspired, or participated in movements for democracy, equality, freedom and social justice.

In each session we will learn about 3-5 of these radicals. Our learning will be enhanced by access to materials from the Bishopsgate Library archive.

For more information about this course and what you will learn, see the course outline.
