Charles Chan | Bishopsgate Institute

Charles Chan is a well-known face amongst the equality dance community. He is a DJ and event organiser, as well as a Fellow of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing in both Ballroom and Latin . He plays regularly at the Pink Jukebox, London Dance Studio, the Dance Lab and the Rivoli Ballroom. His mix of new tunes, classics and surprises appeals to dancers of all generations and has taken him to venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Bristol Equality Dance and Cheek2Cheek Ballroom in Brighton. His recent international engagements as a DJ include the EuroGames 2025 in Lyon and the Gay Games 2026 in Valencia.

Proudly independent since 1895, Bishopsgate Institute is a cultural venue in the City of London. Our beautiful Victorian building is a place for people to connect over a shared love of learning.
