Jacky has been a DJ for Ballroom and Latin dancing since 1995. She has been campaigning for equality for dancers who want to dance with same gender partners, or swap around the leading and following for 30 years, and was awarded a British Empire Medal in 2020 for services to Same-sex Ballroom Dancing. She has DJ’d regularly at venues such as the Festival Hall, Rivoli Ballroom and many dance studio events and tea dances. She is also a ‘Fitsteps’ instructor. She is passionate about mixing music from 1920s to present day and welcoming new people to the dance floor.

Proudly independent since 1895, Bishopsgate Institute is a cultural venue in the City of London. Our beautiful Victorian building is a place for people to connect over a shared love of learning.
