Lives from the Archives: On The Record (oral historians)
News Story
We’re continuing to welcome you into our archives with our “Lives from the Archives” series, where we chat to people whose stories are included in our archives. This week, our Special Collections & Archives Manager Stef spoke to Laura Mitchison and Rosa Schling, who are the Co-Directors of On The Record (OTR).
OTR are an oral history organisation that inspire social change. They record the memories of people and places, and then turn them into podcasts, books, artworks, websites, and audio walks. We hold several of their archives, including "Holding the Baby", "Doing it Ourselves", "Fighting SUS", and "Sounds from the Park".
Find out more about their archives and how they came to be at Bishopsgate Institute in our chat with Laura and Rosa below.
