This free event reunites those who knew Peggy, worked and trained with her, and who enjoyed her legendary social events at the Royston in Penge (now Matico Dance Studios).

This isn't a social dance, although there will be dancing: we put out a lot of tables and chairs so people can catch up with long-lost friends and team mates. If you are looking for a social dance with plenty of space, please book for Bishopsgate Ballroom on Friday 11 April 2025, where the dance floor will be its usual size and we'll be dancing for three hours.

We will have a selection of material from the Peggy Spencer archive on display, and you are welcome to look at the full archive any time we are open via our dedicated Researchers' Service - it's free, you don't have to book and the room is accessible.

Practical information

• This event is free but ticketed and subject to availability.
• Online ticket booking will close two hours prior to the event starting, we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
• We run a card-only bar and also provide free drinking water, so bring your reusable bottle and help yourself. Please don't bring your own food and drink into the event.
• We don't have a staffed cloakroom for this event. Please use the rails in the Boardroom suite.
• Children under 18 will need to be accompanied at all times.
